The Howard Frankland Bridge southbound span recently opened its new express lanes and pedestrian shared-use path (SUP). The additions introduce new transportation options for commuters and the community, and represent the final major milestone of the six-year project.

With both the northbound and southbound spans built and delivered by Traylor Bros, Inc as part of a joint venture. the project demonstrates the company’s long-standing commitment to strengthening connectivity and building infrastructure that serves communities for generations.

As part of the project, Traylor Construction Group sister company Ballard Marine Construction supported demolition and restoration operations on the original bridge, removing massive underwater structural components and helping restore safe navigation throughout the Tampa Bay channel.
