Milestone supports continued momentum for Contract Package 2 tunnel and trackwork scope.

On track for what’s next.

Kiewit Shea Traylor Joint Venture and VTA have signed the Amended & Restated Agreement for Contract Package 2 on BART Silicon Valley Phase II, marking an important step forward for this transformative transit project.

The Amended & Restated Agreement brings the Contract Package 2 tunnel scope into one comprehensive framework, providing the project team with a clear path forward as construction continues.

The BART Silicon Valley Phase II project is a six-mile, four-station extension of the regional BART system from Berryessa/North San Jose through downtown San Jose to the City of Santa Clara. Once complete, the extension is expected to serve 55,000 weekday riders and improve regional transit access for the communities, businesses, and passengers who rely on the corridor.

Traylor is proud to be part of the joint venture helping advance the tunnel and trackwork scope of one of the Bay Area’s most significant transportation infrastructure projects.

Leading up to this agreement, the team has continued progressing work, including excavation of the CAT Shaft, which now extends more than 50 feet deep.

With this agreement in place, the team is positioned to continue safely and efficiently advancing work that will support long-term mobility, connection, and growth across the Bay Area.
